Disclaimer

    1. Independent commercial operator

Tree Felling Cape Town is a privately operated tree felling and lead-generation service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality, the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, or any other government or environmental authority. References to these bodies on this site are used solely for identification and information purposes — to help homeowners understand where and how tree work is regulated in Cape Town.

    2. Information on permits and protected trees

Any information we provide about tree-felling permits, protected indigenous species, heritage trees, or declared invasive vegetation is offered in good faith as general guidance only. It is not legal advice and does not replace confirmation from the City of Cape Town or the relevant authority. Regulations, protected-species lists and permit requirements change, and the correct, current position should always be confirmed with the City of Cape Town before any tree on or near a protected site is felled or heavily pruned.

    3. No warranty on regulatory outcomes

We make a good-faith effort to flag when a tree may be protected or may require a permit, and to point you to the right authority. However, we make no warranty that a particular tree is or is not protected, that a permit will be granted, or that municipal fees, timelines or requirements are as described. The responsibility for obtaining any required permit rests with the property owner.

    4. We are not a municipal contractor

Tree Felling Cape Town is not a contracted tree-maintenance or street-tree service of the City of Cape Town. We operate as a private, paid-for-service operator and route work to vetted independent tree felling contractors within our pay-per-lead network.

    5. Safe and lawful work commitment

All tree work arranged through our service is carried out by insured operators using recognised arboricultural and rigging methods. We do not fell nationally protected trees or heritage-listed trees without the necessary permits in place. Green waste and timber removed during our work is disposed of or chipped lawfully, never illegally dumped.

    6. Imagery

Photographs on the site are a mix of authentic on-site work photos and AI-generated illustrative imagery. AI-generated images are intended to be representative of typical tree felling, climbing and stump-grinding scenes and are not depictions of specific properties, staff or municipal vehicles.

    7. Reporting

If you are an authorised representative of the City of Cape Town or another authority and wish to request correction of any reference on this site, please email [email protected]. We commit to responding within 5 business days.

    8. Governing law

This site, and any service rendered through it, is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
